Information

Outdoor Pet Picks does not require public user accounts. If a visitor contacts the site by email, the email address and message content are used to respond and manage that request. Restricted owner and administration tools may use necessary session cookies; ordinary content browsing does not require an account.

Email subscriptions

If newsletter signup is offered and enabled, we collect the submitted email address, signup source, initial subscription time, most recent submission time, confirmation and subscription status, and limited email-delivery events. A submitted address remains pending until its owner confirms it. We use this information to manage Outdoor Pet Picks updates and do not sell the subscriber list.

Confirmation and delivery emails are sent through Resend. Signup rate limits use short, one-way hashes rather than storing a raw IP address. Unconfirmed records and expired confirmation data are removed during routine maintenance. Delivery failures, complaints, and suppression events may be retained as needed to prevent further mail to an address.

After confirmation, the address may be synchronized to a Resend contact segment and email-preference topic solely to deliver these updates and honor unsubscribe choices. Outdoor Pet Picks keeps its own confirmed-subscription record, while Resend also blocks globally unsubscribed or topic-opted-out contacts from Broadcasts.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. Subscribers may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion.

Analytics

Outdoor Pet Picks uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page visits and traffic sources. Reports may include page paths, referrers, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type. The site currently uses the default page-view integration and does not send custom analytics events.

Vercel states that Web Analytics stores anonymized data, does not use cookies, and resets its visitor-identification hash after 24 hours. Learn more in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy and compliance documentation.

The site also displays aggregate view totals on published guides and product reviews. A view is submitted only after the page has remained visible and focused for a short period. To reduce refresh inflation, the server converts the request IP address and browser user-agent into a secret-keyed, content-specific daily hash. Raw IP addresses and user-agent strings are not stored, no browsing cookie is created, short-lived deduplication and rate-limit hashes are routinely removed, and only aggregate daily totals are kept.

Embedded videos

Product videos are not loaded until a visitor chooses to play them. Playing a video connects the visitor's browser to YouTube using a privacy-enhanced embed or to Vimeo using its do-not-track setting. Those providers may process the request under their own privacy policies.

Retailer and affiliate links

Clicking a retailer link leaves Outdoor Pet Picks. The retailer or an affiliate network may receive URL parameters and may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.
